Hi, I'm from a the Cardwell clan. My mother's mother was Grace Melinda Cardwell, 1st husband James Jackson Blackstone and then 2nd husband Willis Veranus Smith. She had one brother Thomas B Cardwell, and sisters, Nannie, Orpha Ura (who my mother was named after), Alice L (who our aunt Alice was named after), Della and Verna Bernice (who my cousin was named after). Grace's fathers name was William David Cardwell (who my brother was named after)born on Oct 12, 1854 in Missouri and died on Apr 16 1922 in Missouri. He married Sarah Elizabeth Jane Moss. WIlliam's fathers name was Samuel Cardwell born around 1828 in Kentucky. He was married to Sarah Mary Jane Ferrel. He had two sisters, Missouri Ann and Malinda J, and brothers Andrew Jackson, Sterling P, and John Kenny. Samuel's fathers Name was Starlind Harland Cardwell, born in Tennessee abt 1790.
I have lots of pictures of our Cardwell side of the family to share if anybody is realted to me. I hope I haven't confused you, I have alot of info.
