My grandfather, Frank Silveira Cardoza, married Rosa Pereira in 1906 in Martinez, California (later lived in San Leandro, Oakland, and San Jose) - I have "clues" that they probably came from the island of Faial (Azores), however I have had a difficult time confirming this and have not been able to find records of either of them on passenger lists. Anyone out there have a connection to either one of these names? If so, would love to hear from you. Suggestions are also welcome.
