Let me introduce to you all to my Cardoza branch.
It apears that this branch came from Spain in the early 1880's (maybe to escape the French?).They settled in the North east part of Mexico. They were natural huntes and farmers (very skilled in the use of firearms}.Thier are still remants of the original family thier (mexico). The family migrated to El Paso Texas, Juarez mexico in the ealry 1900's.Thier are branches that still exist on Northern Calif. As far as I can tell they are not Portugese and are belived to be the earliest Cardoza's in the Americas. As a historical point this family was freinds to the late and famus Poncho Via of Mexico and had several Cardozas killed by the government in the early revalution. My Great grand mother last name of Chavaria was reported from England). Please of any of you know more of this branch please let me know, espacialy if thier is an exiting coat of arms registed in Spain or somewhere in Europe.Ive looked but I might of missed it.This family brach is historical due to the nature of the Mexican revalution and history.
