Cardona's from Venezuela
Posted by: Reynaldo Cardona Date: April 15, 2001 at 17:37:10

Hello:

Mi name is Reynaldo Cardona and I just got interested in following the Cardona genealogy.

These are the names found in my Cardona family: Raul, Alfredo(3), Carlos, Edgar.
Based on the number of Alfredo's I have seen on the web it seems like a common name.

My father told me once the following story. He came to Venezuela from El Salvador and one of his grandparents moved from Cuba to El Salvador. He claims that the Cardonas from Cuba came from Catalunia, Spain from the region of the mount or river (?) Cardona. So... Catalunia/Spain - Cuba - Salvador - Venezuela. I also know that some of my gradfather's brothers moved from Salvador to Los Angeles, California.

If this sounds familiar to anyone, let me know.

Thanks,

Reynaldo
