My name is Ramona Cardona. I am the daughter of Maria de Jesus Balbaneda and Santiago Cardona who is the son of Maria del Refugio Barrajas and Juan Cardona. Both of my parents came from a little "ranchito" named La Laja which was founded by the Cardona and Barrajas family. It is located in Jalisco, Mexico. My parents came to Los Angeles in 1974 to give my family a better life. In Mexico my parents had 5 kids, 3 boys and 2 girls. unfortunetly 2 of the boys died before they were even 1 year old. Here in Los Angeles my parents had 5 other girls and 2 other boys. We were all raised in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles right on the border line of East Los Angeles and Boyle Heights. I'm looking for other Cardona members who might live around or close to this area so we can talk and chat about our family. After all all the Cardona members are one family because we all come from a Cardona. Only that our family grew and we spreaded throughout the world.
