In 1904 Chauncy Cardinal went to court at age 18, probably in Madison, Indiana, and was acquitted for killing Wayne Scott. Does anyone have information about this event. The 1904 Madison newspapers are not available anywhere. The self-defense murder may have taken place in Dupont or Shelby, Jefferson County, Indiana.
