My information on Toussaint Dubois was that he was born in Montreal about 1764 and his parents were Charles and Cecile (Couverte) Dubois of Montreal. If this is the Toussaint Dubois, Sr. you referred to, I would be interested in knowing the source for your connection of Etienne Dubois to Toussaint Dubois, Sr as a brother, as I have a different set of parents for your Etienne Dubois (see my info for you on Marie Cardinal).
Toussaint Dubois who was bor about 1764 in Montreal married Jeanne Bonneau on oct 6, 1788 in Vincennes, dau of Charles and Genevieve Charlotte (Dudevoir) Bonneau.Jeanne died Nov 16, 1800 and was buried in the Old Cathedral Cemetery.Toussaint later md Jane Baird, dau of Thomas and Esther (Kilgore) Baird of Kinox Co, IN.
Toussaint and Jeanne had 7 children, Suzanne, Toussaint, Honore, Francois, Charles, Emanuel, and Henry.Toussaint and Jane (Baird) Dubois had three sons Thomas, James and Jesse Kilgore.
Jesse Kilgore Dubois was a close personal friend of Abraham Lincoln and served on his election campaign team. There is a picture of him in one of books on Abraham Lincoln.Jesse's son Fred Thomas Dubois was a congressman and later a senator.
