Hi Bobbie! Here is the strange thing about Ameer. This is found in Ancestry.com. I thought it had to be a typo. My mother is the great-granddaughter of Andrew C. Cardin. And she also said that it was Amos like I thought it was and now you are also agreeing that it was. What could have happened was, the writing wasn't so good on these census' as you probably know, so it could have looked like Ameer. Now that we have that prob settled,lol, have you been able to find out where this line of Cardins originated from? I have heard Ireland and I have heard France. If you can help point me in the right direction, I sure would appreciate it!! And thank you again for your help with "Ameer". I knew it couldn't be right. Thank you again!!
