Debra: AMOS Carden married Margaret Taylor in Monroe County Tennessee 7/21/1842. I have done research on Cardin/Carden families for over 30 years and have never run across the first name you gave for Amos. If you will read the postings on the Cardin and the Carden screens you will find several people researching this family. The Cardin name is found as Carden and Cardin for the same family. To this day my deceased husband's Cardin family who live west of the Mississippi River spell it Cardin and the ones who live east of the Mississippi River spell it Carden.....same family!!!!. Their family name was found in all legal records in South Carolina spelled as Cardin and my records indicate that AMOS's family was descended from this family. Good luck on your research. Bobbie in Louisiana
