Bobbie, i understand completely, been there, done that. i spent almost 11 yrs. running my husband back and forth to the doctor with his heart trouble. he past away at the age of 47 , in 1996. in the 1880 census , the children are listed as C.L. MATTOX......age 12 C.M. MATTOX......age 10 CLEM MATTOX......age 7 the only reason i know for sure one of their whole names is from the marriage cert. of MARY CLEM and Jesse D. Thompson. in the 1900 census , Hardy is listed living with Jesse and Mary Clem and their children ....no Tabitha. i haven't yet had the time to check all the 1910 census , on Ancestry.com, to see if Hardy was still alive but he is not living with Jesse and Mary Clem in 1910. what info i do have has them living in the Cherokee Nation, I.T. , in what is now Adair County OK. around the Stillwell area. i have been checking the online cemetery listings but haven't had any luck........Tabitha may not even have a marker by this time.
