Thank you for the quick response. I will check into the Bapt. records. We have been keeping an open mind to the idea that Etta wasn't Native American. We found a notation in the Paquette Family Bible that said "mother was full blood cherokee" [referring to Etta we think!] but we have not been able to find anything to substantiate that. Do let me know if you find anything that may help us. Thanks. Llewella
