Dennis:

Not sure if there is a connection here or not. My branch of the Cardiff family apparently immigrated from somewhere in Ireland to PEI Canada @ 1825. That would have been John Cardiff. I believe he had a son named Thomas Cardiff (married to a Bridget Flood, reportedly of Wexford County) who himself had a son named Thomas Cardiff. The Junior Thomas Cardiff ultimately moved the family from PEI to Stellarton, Nova Scotia.

On my own end, trying to figure out where in Ireland my ancestors came from. I have so far reached a dead end at the John Cardiff who originally settled in PEI in the early 1820s.

Regards,

David Cardiff
