John, We are related, tough not as your mother thinks. I am the next generation. She thinks that I am my aunt, Helen Katherine Cardiff Smith. My paternal grandfather was Ambroise St.Clair Cardiff married to Emma Henneberry, Son of Thomas Cardiff who had a brick yard on PEI Canada with his brother John. They both were married to sisters, from the Flood family. Your mothers mother Clara Cardiff Daly was Ambroise's sister. They both I believe were born on PEI, but the family moved to Stellerton, NS when they were children. So you mothers first cousin was my father, John David Cardiff (known to everyone and went by Dave). She may remember that he played the piano accordian. So that makes me, your mother's 1st cousin once removed and you and I are 2nd cousins. Your mother siblings are (or were) Helen, Elizabeth(Bishey)-both dead, Mark- I believe dead. Emelda(Melda)-married to Elwood, and John. All who lived or live in the Moncton, NB Canada area. I believe your mother worked for an airline company. I would love to talk with you further, if all of this sounds right. I did read info that was sent to my aunts and uncles from a Susan Wanamaker Jackson many years ago. I am tring to hunt down that info. I am hazey as to all that I read that long ago and I have no copies Looking forward to hearing from you. Helen Notify Administrator about this message?
