I didn't know about James Walter Cardew.
I have quite a lot of information from the Cornelius Cardew biography and a booklet I inherited from my Grandmother so I was aware that Rev CC was married twice, to Mary Lukey Warren and to Elizabeth Brutton.
I have details of a lot of the relatives from the CC biography, but trying to keep track of where everyone should be placed in the tree became quite confusing given the huge number of offspring, particularly JH Cardews 14 children !
Nice to see the Haydon name has passed down to someone. My grandfather was Wallace Rutherford Cardew Macpherson, and I am Niall John Rutherford Macpherson. My great great grandfather Alexander Macpherson was married twice - first to Catherine Rutherford and then to Emma Cardew so I guess it was 50/50 whether I would get the Rutherford or Cardew in my name.
I've done quite a bit of research into the Cardews via the internet. My entire family tree is online but it's on genes reconnected so unless you are a member you won't be able to see it. I actually made contact with another living Macpherson recently via the site via the Cardew connection.
I have traced one of the Cardews back to the court of Queen Elizabeth I (via marriage) . Details are here

I did have some questions about John Haydon Cardew re an entry for him I found in the 1851 census but I can't find the census doc at the moment , so that will have to wait :(

Cornelius (b c1799)
Frederic (c 1808-1853)

Cornelia (c1819 - ??)
Do you know if these are correct , and do you have details of any of the others apart from James Walter ?
