As mentioned in my original post I had bought the Cornelius Cardew memoirs written by Sir Alex Cardew in 1926 but it hadn't arrived at the time I sent my post.
I'venow had the boook a couple of weeks and there are a number of references to the Baldocks
I've discovered from this book that George Cardew was in the Army and posted to Guernsey in March 1804 where he met Caroline Baldock and , as you have said , they were married 22 Apr 1805
Is your information from the same source ? If not and you do not have access to the book and require any further information on Cardews / Baldocks please let me know and I will help if I can .
