hi there karen, imagine my delight when i went to the genforum and looked up CARDEW and saw your message.
i have been on to them for a while to include the name but to no avail.
anyway....to business....i lived with niccii cardew for 9 years (we never wed) and she showed me a copy of her family tree (she not being into genealogy as much as i am) and it it very comprehensive....it is in fact 12 foot long.
niccii by the way is a descendant from REV. CORNELIUS D.D.'s second marriage to MARY LUKEY WARREN.
i borrowed niccii's copy of the family tree and took it to truro and had it copied last week so i had a copy for myself, that way i can use it (without the risk of damaging niccii's copy) for my attempt to load it all on the comp and then produce it as a website (as i have done my own tree).
the tree itself was compiled in the 1950's so therefore is in need of a good update...so with the benefit of the internet i am able to enhance the original version....also i have the entire 1881 census for the uk which has helped enormously with certain 'little details' that were lacking from the original. niccii doesnt have computer access as of yet but i keep on at her to do so!
back to your message, if i can give you any info then i would be only too pleased to oblige.....failing that...it will hopefully all be available for all to see in the next few months....that being the time taken by 'the powers that be'....not me!
finally...i did also notice you were also looking up names in MAWNAN SMITH....well surprise surprise...this is where i live...so if you need any local research then please just shout.
i will include a link to my family website (not from cornwall) just to give you an idea of how the cardew tree will look when ...if ever...i get to the end....i look forward to hearing from you karen...
