It appears we have a common ancestor in Richard Carder b July 18, 1800 NS married Louisa Innes b Oct 10, 1814 NS - 10 children.

Their son William Douglas, my GGgrandfather b Dec 6, 1839, Pleasant River, NS m Henrietta Freeman b Nov 8, 1844 Brookfield NS - 5 children.

In 1883, Henrietta's parents, William & Caroline Freeman, along with some of their children and children's spouses (including Wm & Henrietta) migrated to Monticello MN where they lived (and are buried).
