Re: my post last night. Isaac Carden, of Monroe County and Summers County, VA had three brothers, Joseph, John and Allen. Their father was Joseph Carden. married to a Mary. He died in Monroe County Apr. 1818.

Isaac Carden's daughter Mary Carden Barger was my great grandmother.

Isaac Carden had three sons who served in the Confederate army -- Lowry's Battery.

I do not have any information on Joseph Carden's ancestors.
In a message on the Carden List, Nils Haag is mentioned as establishing a family tree that cites a James Carden as Joseph's father. Can you tell me where I can find the family tree? Email me directly if you wish.
