Martha: Thanks for your reply. I guess that we never get too old to learn, huh? Have you asked the person with the
Bible for a photostatic copy of the page giving James Cardin
as the parent? I'm sure that with all of your research on this family that you know that both James R.H. Cardin and
Eliza Dean (Oct. 2, 1839) and Stacy Kierden (Cardin) and
Green Elliott (Nov. 9,1839) married in St. Clair County
Alabama. I am sure that you have seen my previous postings on the CARDEN-L Email that my husband's Cardin family (of
which I have been a part of for over 49 years)spell their last name as Cardin and Carden to this day - same family,
just different spellings. I have taken myself off the CARDEN-L for the time being...too much DNA and family reunions in a different county, and not enough research.
Also, too much spreading what other people have sent them
without any research and without saying someone sent it to me, just quoting it as a fact! Must get ready for work. Bobbie
