Interested in information concerning the Cardens of Birmingham, Alabama. My family is the only African-American Carden decendents found in Alabama. Census records indicate the earliest ancestors entered America in Virginia in the 1700s. My Great-Great Grandfather lived in Selma in the 1880 census.
