Hi William:
My Grandmother was Missouri Cardin English whose father
was Martin Vanburen Cardin born on 3/26/1840 in Georgia.Martin died on 10/6/1919 and is buried in the Carter Cemetary in Perry County, Ar.We, for some reason, thought
that our Cardins came from Alabama but decided to look into
the Georgia Cardins and found your information. This is
the first time we had heard about the siblings James and Lafayette.I am named after Nancy Victoria who died in 1945
and is buried in the same cemetary as her father and sister,
my grandmother. We also knew about George Cardin, my great
uncle who visited us every year. He lived most of his life in Russellville, Arkansas and is buried there.
My grandmother, Missouri (she always told us her full name was Mary Martha Lerna Missouri Cardin English) married
a William Harvey Biggs first and had two children, Ethel and Ocie. She then married Robert M. English and had three children, Faye Evelyn, my mother; Cecil, who died as a young child; Jay English, and Troy English.Missouri lived to be 94 and lived with my family for 20 plus years.
I am so excited that I finally stumbled upon your information and would love to know more.
