Per the book "Russell County Alabama" =
In 1837 two Cardin brothers living in Jasper
County Georgia Benjamin and William Cardin
moved into Russell County. Two years later
another brother Randolph came into Russell
County. Randolph was married to the sister
of his brother William's wife. Randolph
married Elizabeth Thompson Dec.24, 1835 in
Putman County. William had married Sarah
Thompson on June 12, l834 in Putman County.
