Ok, here's a chance offering. I have details of the line of Cardens (Brighton, England) from 1615. I'm guessing there's a link here somewhere but not sure when/where!!
Many of the names I think are too coincidental - what do you think ?
I'll just give you the piece that looks likely somewhere. I have 60 pages !!
Robert Carden (1741), Had children Samuel (1779), Elizabeth (1780), Mary (1787), Edward (1789), Robert (1791), Johanna 1793 and Charlotte (1795).
The Roberts and Samuels and dates ?
Hope this helps you dig deeper. I'm going to look at the ship manifests as I have a feeling the Cardens came over around 1700 (circa) to the USA - assuming this is NOT a wild goose-chase !!
