I'm originally from Pickens Co., Alabama, which adjoins Lamar Co. on the south, and currently work in Monroe Co., Mississippi, which adjoins Lamar on the west. This is a very rural area, and while I've never met any of the Lamar County Cardens I assume we'd be distantly related somehow. While I don't have any specific information about William (I share his Jan. 29th birthday, by the way), I have a 1997 version of the Lamar County phone book and it has listings for three Cardens. If you'd like me to e-mail you their phone numbers and addresses I'd be happy to do so. There are also 11 Turmans listed.
