I am looking for any information on William (Thomas) CARDEN. The family story goes like this: He was born in Georgia 29 Jan 1840. He fought in the civil war and when the war was over his regiment was in Alabama so he stayed there. He met and married Sarah Sandlin TURMAN in Sulligent, Alabama. They had a child named Jesse Randal CARDEN 18 Nov 1866. I have heard that William's father's name was Randall CARDEN and that his mother's maiden name was THOMPSON. I have no proof, its the story that has been passed down. If anyone has any information on William, his wife Sarah, their children or his or her parents please let me know. This has been a mistery far too long!! Thank you in advance.
