Family history has it that 4 Carden brothers arrived from Ireland at the port of Savannah in the early 1800's (1840's?). Only one of them, so I hear, stayed in Georgia. He (whose first name I don't know) took a Cherokee woman for his wife -- they named their son Andrew Jackson Carden, who then named his son Andrew Jackson Carden, who was the father of my grandfather, Euell Carden. Written records are fairly sketchy -- does anyone know of this line???
