My g grandmother, Mary Francis CARDIN (1830-1889), married my g grandfather Duncan SMITH (1828-1862) in Hawkins County on Sept. 09, 1851. She is listed in the 1850 Hawkins census in the household of Robert and Jeanetta (MOUNTCASTLE) CARDIN. Jeanetta was not her mother according to a newspaper interview of Jeanetta in 1905. Who was her mother? Who were the parents of Duncan SMITH? I have been stuck here for 15 years. Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ernie
