Leonard was born about 1765. His father was Robert Carden of Goochland Co., Virginia
He is listed on Robert’s will and also on the 1789 Goochland tax roll both of which I have copies of. He is listed both places as simply Leonard Carden.
I also believe he was a soldier in the Revolution. He is said to have died in Trenton, Jackson Co., Alabama.
He is widely listed on the internet as Leonard Ansel Carden.
Does anyone have documentation of some kind that lists his middle name as Ansel?
