Hi Elisa
What court record are you talking about that gives Sarah's maiden name? We always spelled Richard's name as Akins but I have seen on the census records different spellings. I have just started pulling this line together with help from you and Bobbie. Most of the older grandchildren of Sarah's are gone and the younger one's don't know much. My dad talked about Richard some last night, he is 88 and forgets a lot. He said that Richard got mad at my grandmother when she married my grandfather and didn't have much to do with them. When he remarried to Kissie they started to visit again and he remembered them coming in horse and buggy. He said Richard had a big red horse he always liked. Thanks for all the information you have shared. It was interesting that your family was next door to mine. How were these people related to Sarah?
Linda
