Linda, Bobbie is right. i went back and checked the court case and it gives Sarah's married name as ADKINS.
i never knew until i received this last packet of info from another relative that any of the family but my exact line ended up in Alabama.
Catherine's brother , Reuben was my 3rd g-grandfather, his son John , my gg-grandfather, his son James Polk , my g-grandfather, his son John Franklin Carden , my grandfather.
my mom was John Franklin's middle child, of 8 girls and 2 boys.
my mom is gone now, as well as both the brothers and all her sisters.
