The ceremony went off fine.
I got to meet Branch Jackson Carden, Jr., who gathered so much of the earlier Carden Genealogy while on my trip to VA.
I have also gotten in touch with another relative, who is also of the understanding that John Carden's (married to Elizabeth Smith, from Halifax County, VA) parents were James and Sarah DePriest Carden.
I will now quit looking and bothering people about the parentage of John.
Thanks again to Branch and Nils for all their hard work.
