I am looking for Sarah Carden who was married to Richard Akins and lived in Jackson County, Ala. She is in the 1900 and 1910 Gross Spring, Jackson Co.census in Alabama married to my great grandfather Richard Akins. Her birth date is show on one as 1844 and the other as 1849. I have always been told her name was Cynthia Carden but the census only shows Sarah. The 1900 census shows a Cintha daughter that might have been named after her. I never knew of Cintha or the son Isaac that was listed on this census. The only children I was aware of were Essie, Robert and Lenord. Both Richard and Sarah show their parents born in Tennessee. I have nothing else on Sarah as she probably died between 1910 and 1920 as Richard is in the 1920 census with another wife. I have always been told she was part Indian. I know this isn't much but it is all I have.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
