Information found on Stonewall J. Cardin's death certificate when he died April 14, 1927 in Knox County Tennessee at the Eastern State Hospital at the age of 68 years and 16 days of apoplexy gives the following information (proving he was the son of Leonard Cardin and Synthia Henson) date of birth March 29, 1859 in Tennessee so he must have been the last born of Leonard and Synthia especially if Leonard died sometimes in 1859 that is the reason he is not listed in Leonard's will written several years earlier. His parents on the death certificate are named as Leonard Cardin and Synthia Henson...as they are named also on Stonewall's application when he applied to prove his Indian ancestry thru the Henson side of the family. Of course, the application was declined but it gives the names of Stonewall's brothers and sisters. Any information on the later status of his (Stonewall's) children would be appreciated.
