Leonard Cardin Sr. and Leonard Cardin Jr. are listed in the books by Bret Holcombe in Spartanburg County S.C. several times. One of these deeds for Leonard Cardin Sr. when he sold land gives Leonard Cardin Sr's wife as Catherine and as Caty or at least she gave up her rights to the land as wives did back then. She plainly gives her name as Catherine and Caty. Legal records in Spartanburg County SC plainly show Larkin Cardin of Monroe County Tennessee's father was Leonard Cardin Sr. I have copies of these legal records if anyone is interested. Bobbie
