Tanya: My records show that there was a daughter named Sarah, age 17, listed on the 1850 Polk County Tennessee census under the household of Reuben Cordon (Cardin) and his wife Rebecca. By 1860 she is married to Wm (William) L. Carr. She is said to have married in 1856 and moved to Hickman County KY. A list of deaths found in Hickman County KY courthouse shows Sarah A. Carr died April 8, 1877 at the age of 46 years old. Her parents were shown as R.A. Carden, born S.C. father and her mother as R. Carden born in North Carolina. (This was Reuben and Rebecca). The 1863 Militia List in Murray County Georgia shows R. Carden, age 55 years old and ten months, a farmer, born in Spartanburg District South Carolina. So Sarah Cardin/Carden was a Carr when she died. The Cardin family from Spartanburg County S.C. is my husband's ancestors and I have done a lot of research on it. I hope this helps. Bobbie
