Hi Heidi - Ancestery.com has a marriage license of Betsy Carden and Thomas Lynch they were married April 20, 1826 in Orange county, North Carolina she born 1806 and he 1787 both from N.C. She is daughter of John and Patsy (maybe Elizabeth) Carden. Patsy lived with them while they had their family Dennis and Ansel -this is in 1850 N.C. Orange Co dist 1 census records and then I found 1870 Tenn Carroll Co Dist 18 Ancel Lynch N.C married to Frances N.C. with large family and one of the children is son Thomas age 12 (this is my line) also living with them is Clorassey? Corden from N.C. Matinyer, Robert and Frances all from N.C. They stay in Tenn. for 1880 Carroll C. Dist 14-19 census and Thomas J Lynch marries Catharine McClane (McClain) and they have 2 boys William M.(Merdia)and Thomas L.(Luthur)Lynch -and then I find them 1900 in Arkansas >now there are more children:Mary M., Gertie M., Ancil L. (Ancel Leonard Lynch -born June 5, 1895 -I found on the web his NAVY papers that shows she was married to Mrs. Hursey Lynch and he signs it A.L.Lynch ) Just showing that ANCEL seems to follow the family. Please check and see if what you have matches the census records with more information. Thanks, for your posting. you can reach me at mcdermottmary1102@msn.com Mary Jean McDermott ps How does the Horn family fit in???
