I have a copy of an article from the Alabama
Baptist (magazine?) dated July 6,l899 that I
would be glad to mail you a copy of. It was
written by E.H. Teague who knew him quite well. The article says James Harvey Reuben
Cardin was born in Greene County Alabama, was
temporarily in St. Clair County but was brought up mostly in Shelby County by his grandparents because both of his parents died
