I, too, am searching for Carden's in West Virginia. My ancestor Joseph Carden, died in Monroe Co., which began in Virginia, and ended up being part of West Virginia. I am hoping to find his ancestors. Joseph was married to Mary (? maiden name unknown). They had ten children: Issac, John L., Rachel, Mary, Allen Dickerson, Robert D., Joseph W. (my direct line), Nancy (married a Reed), Elizabeth (married a Wray), and Jane (married a Walker). Perhaps we can help each other research these lines. Let me hear from you and we'll see what we can turn up!
