Have done a lot of research on CARDELLs in Southern U.S.

Hi, everyone! I am so glad to see a CARDELL forum now on Genealogy.com!

I wanted to just notify the board that I have a lot of info on the southern CARDELLs if I can help anyone. I still have a lot of questions myself so I hope to be posting soon with my own queries. Most of the CARDELL ancestors I've researched in my husband's line have been in Georgia. I have research back to the early 1800's.

Also as an aside, the name CARDELL has also been seen as CORDELL and I understand McCARDELL/McARDELL/McARDLE in the Northern U.S. Even in my husband's generation his name and other family's name is sometimes recorded as CORDELL instead of CARDELL. Just another avenue to look under if you're stuck in the CARDELL surname.

Good luck everyone! Let me know if I can help anyone.

Metter, Georgia
