Does anyone have a John Cardell who lived in Miller Co.,(or Barry Co.)Arkansas? I have been interested in seeing if he might tie in to my Cardell side, but have no information on him.

1. HENRY THOMAS2 CARDELL (CARDELL1) was born April 04, 1857 in Ar. or Mo., and died 1896 in Richland Spings, San Saba County, Tx.. He married MARY DORENA HAMBY September 07, 1885, daughter of WILLIAM HAMBY and PRISCILLA CLIFTON.
Notes for HENRY THOMAS CARDELL:
Henry Thomas Cardell died about 1896...exact date is unknown. His infant son, age 7 months at Henry's death, died the same year, with complications of the measles. Henry is buried at Richland Springs, Texas, which is near Waco, and the baby died at Austin, Tx. . This information came from Mary Hamby's journal. I visited there in 1998, took photographs, and visited the cemetary. We don't know if Henry was buried at the farm where they lived, or if he is in the cemetary there. His wife, Mary (Hamby) Routon - Cardell later married to George W. Lenard.
William Thomas Cardell's birth record says his parents were born in Missouri. This does not agree with census and other records.

Notes for MARY DORENA HAMBY:
She was called "Molly"
Mary hamby mentions a nephew, Ollie Hamby, wife and two boys (in 1950) one age 10 and one age 12. Ollie a wife are both school teachers, (for 14yrs) The had sold their home at St. Marcus, Tx., and moved to Coleman, Tx.
Mary Hamby outlived all but 2 of her Lenard children...her son William T. Cardell died before she did, but I am not sure about Myrtle, Walter and Charlie.
Of Henry Cardell, she said "he lived 11 years and died..5 children...4 boys and a girl"
