Looking for information on Abraham Card, who may be connected to a Brooks family.
His daughter Mary Card married William Brooks in Jones county, Georgia in 1835.
Abraham Card moved into Jones county about 1808 and died there in 1853, leaving a wife named Mary. Abraham was born in Maryland and Mary in North Carolina. He may have been in Granville county, NC in 1800 census.
Abraham bought a parcel of land in 1823, that eventually came into the possesion of an Elizabeth Brooks, who in turn sold it to her son William mentioned early. Cannot find a land sale from a Card to a Brooks.
I trying to determine the husband of Elizabeth Brooks. There were two son's, Felix(1810) and William (1815) who were born in South Carolina. Both are in her 1830 household. She is forty/fifty years old. She disappears after selling land to William in 1834.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
