I have just now have seen your question. Actually the name Carawan is derived from the Celtic word kervin, meaning stag. This was done when an English King wanted a cenus of everyone in his realm. Many names in Europe and here in the States are derived from word for animals, or objects. It is matter of knowing where to look. I hope I have shed some light on your question.
