Im am also researching my ancestry, the captain's im looking for are from the Chippewa Tribe in the the Great Lakes Region. I have gone back to the late 1800's. Captain is a english name that was adopted by the Grandfather the Indain name is Nawwaygehzhick...Anyone out there know anything......
