Chat | Daily Search | My GenForum | Community Standards | Terms of Service Jump to Forum Home: Surnames: Capps Family Genealogy Forum 1760 Tax List of Granville County NC Posted by: Eunice Boucher Date: April 14, 2000 at 19:21:24   of 4096 I have a copy of "List of Taxables for 1762 in Granville County, NC" by Ransom McBride and it lists in Babtist District, Francis Caps and in his household it lists Rasha, Caps. Philip, Self. I have seen the name Orasha Capps in some old records of Warren County so I assume Rasha is him but not sure of Philip and Self. Are these surnames and does anyone know where Babtist District was? It is the first time I have seen that name and I have looked at old tax records before. My ancestor was Francis Capps and I know his son was Joshua but not sure about Orasha Capps. Does anyone have any information on him? Thanks.
