Wow. Thank you for sharing that story. That really means a lot to me. It gives me a glimpse into an ancestor on a personal level. I know my Dad will enjoy that story too. Thank you. And nice to meet you, cousin.

I meant to ask if you if you needed any obituaries on Matthew Capps or any of your Capps family that would have had obits in the Greenville News. The Greenville library recently published an online, searchable index of all Greenville News obits going back to the 20s. I found an obituary for Matthew Capps which I had not been able to find before (I think I had been looking in Anderson since the church they attended technically falls in the Anderson area). Anyway, if you don't have Matthew's obit, I'd be happy to post it. And if you're not in the Greenville area and you would like a Greenville News obit, I'd be happy to oblige.
