Ada's sister Ida married John's brother, Jessie Henry Capps. Do you know if John W. Capps had lost a hand in an accident? My uncle, Lance Capps, told me of a story about his great uncle who came to visit his father at their farm in Kirksey, SC (Greenwood County, SC). This would have been in the late 1930's.
