Wish I had a definitive answer. All my sources say that David Kenny Capps (1814 TN) may have had multiple wives. In his journal, he speaks of splittin the sheets (divorce)with a wife leaving her with a cow and other sundry things.I have heard that he married a Parmelia Ann Armstrong and by the time he died, a woman by the name of Harriet.
I also have a photocopy of a letter written by David Capps that is dated 1889 from Troy MO to his son Thomas Armstrong Capps (who died in Kansas). He was my gg grandfather. He married Mary Melinda Yadon.
I wish I knew for certain but the journal is in the hands of my cousin who lives in NE and I live in NC.
Let me know if you find out anything new. I appreciate it.
Luanne
