This will be a little sketchy, because I don't have all my files at hand, and I didn' want you to think that I had dropped out of site. Lizzie was Mary Elizabeth. She married Charles A. Wallace Feb 18, 1901. They had 10 Children. Harvey, 1902, Roy N. 1904, Nellie J. 1906, Freeda J. 1909, Clifford Earl, and Clayton Burl, 1912, Bonnie M., 1915, Emma L.,1918, Charles Lawson,1922, and Kenneth E., 1925.
Jenny married John Gilmore. They had 5 children. Alma, Verna, Milford, Van, and Lila. Annie married several times. So many, that no one remembers what her first husbands name was, or her last. Family rumor has it that she was a dance hall girl. I only remember that I saw her when I was about 6 years old, and she had a gravelly whisky voice, but she sure did love all of the little kids. The boys are all buried, According to my dad, Charles Lawson, at either West Plains, Diamond, or Tipton Ford, in Mo. Neil died and presumably is buried in California, as did Annie. Yes, Neil did work in Joplin. He evidently had a small mine somewhere in the area, but it certainly didn't make him rich. And, I suppose that he did travel home on the week-ends, but that is speculation. Dicey raised the children mainly by herself. That is one thing that the family agrees on. I have some photos of Neil and the boys in Ca., and of the 3 girls after they were all married. Will try to dig them out for you. Any thing else I can help with, let me know.
