I am trying to find the parents of John C. Caplinger who was born 1855 in Ohio (probably Highland Co.) He was married to Rebecca Agnes Murphy (b. 1856) on Mar. 12, 1876 (per P. Hobson). I believe John C. Caplinger was the grandson of Dr. John D. Caplinger, but am unsure as to who his father could've been. Given his birthdate, I think that the only possibilities for his father are Daniel, Joel, Andrew, or Cornelius Caplinger. I would appreciate any info you might have and would be glad to share!
