I am researching Jacob CAPLINGER/KEPLINGER, b. around 1810-1815 in OH, living in Brush Creek Township, Highland Co., OH in 1840. Jacob married Christina SETTY/SETTEE December 15, 1832 in Highland County. I'm trying to locate parents and/or siblings for Jacob CAPLINGER. There is an Abraham CAPLINGER in the 1840 census for Brush Creek Township, Highland Co., b. 1770-1780, who looks like a good possibility to be his father. Does anyone know anything about Abraham and whether he might have had a son named Jacob? Any help on this family would be most appreciated.
